Closed beta launch
In January 2023, we released our free beta to alpha customers. It focused on improving the onboarding + Spend Overview experiences based on the feedback we’d gotten from alpha customers so far:
Customers wanted a way to connect more than one bank account after onboarding
Customers wanted a way to roster using the alias under their Google Workspace domain
Customers wanted a way to remove transactions that weren’t a part of their subscriptions
The key things we focused on as part of these improvements were giving users more control over their data, being clearer about how their data is used to uncover insights, and removing any bugs that popped up throughout these changes.
New features
Onboarding v2
We refreshed the UX design for all of the onboarding screens
We added a Priority screen, where users could submit what brought them to Talisman
We added support for users to select any alias connected to their Google Workspace in order to pull their roster
We added explainer screens before the Google Workspace + Plaid pages that walk users through the benefits of connecting their employee roster and bank account prior to asking them to connect
Main experience
We refreshed the UX design for the pages in the main experience
We added a Subscription management page, where users could review + create subscriptions displayed in the Spend Overview page
We added an Accounts page where users could connect additional bank accounts post-onboarding
Bug fixes
Onboarding
We fixed image display issues on the Priority screens in onboarding
We fixed an issue on the Priority screens in onboarding where a user couldn’t click ‘Next’ after marking their goals with Talisman
We fixed an issue with the Google Workspace step where the roster from Google wasn’t being pulled
We fixed an issue with the Google Workspace table in onboarding that wasn’t allowing users to sort their alias
We fixed an issue with the Plaid connection that was requiring users to have an AccessToken
We fixed an issue with onboarding where subscriptions were not saved going into the main experience
We fixed an issue with the Possible subscription list in onboarding, that wasn’t displaying the checkmark for confirmed subscriptions
We fixed an issue with the Subscription & Possible subscription modals where the names weren’t being properly recorded when the user made any changes

We fixed an issue with the Possible subscription insight that wasn’t removing Possible subscriptions the user marked as ‘Not a subscription’
We fixed an issue with the Subscription insight where it was not displaying the names of subscriptions
We fixed an issue on the Subscription spend table where the logo for the payment method wasn’t displaying
Subscription management
We fixed an issue on the Subscription management table where if transactions were removed from a subscription, changes weren’t saved and those transactions were still associated with the subscription

We fixed an issue with the Accounts page where users were unable to add a new bank or credit card account using Plaid
